Nina Lochle

Gestalt Psychotherapist (MSC)

I offer a warm and empathetic environment, aiming to provide a space where you can feel safe to be just the way you are and feel supported in exploring the things that may cause you difficulty in your life at the moment.

All of us can encounter moments in our lives where our habitual ways of doing things don’t seem to work any longer and we get stuck. Psychotherapy can help working through these difficulties, by becoming aware of what we do and how we do it and whether our ways of thinking or doing things are helpful or not. This awareness is the foundation for change and together we can find new perspectives and kinder ways of engaging with yourself, that enable you to experiment with a wider variety of choices and support you leading a happier and more satisfying life.

While offering talk-therapy, I take a holistic approach and will be interested in all of you, your mind, your body and your emotions as a whole. This will also include us looking at your life-situation and how it contributes to your being in the world. We might also draw compassionate attention to your body and rely on its innate wisdom as a powerful support for healing as well as drawing on your innate creativity to find unique solutions to your issues.

Training, qualifications, and experience

I have several years of clinical experience as a therapist and have worked with issues such as relationship problems, anger issues, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, life transitions, childhood sexual abuse, depersonalisation, attachment issues, shame, low self-esteem, perfectionism and self-criticism, loneliness, grief, neurodiversity support and trauma.

Previously, I worked for a therapy service dedicated to helping people struggling with eating disorders and body-image issues.

My current professional development interest lies in eco-anxiety and distress related to climate change as well as Trauma treatment approaches.
Being a German and British dual national, I can conduct sessions in English or German.

I further work as a coach, at the intersection of coaching and therapy, helping people uncover and examine the underlying processes, that create challenges in work settings or stuckness in making the next career step.

Primary Qualifications

I hold a Msc degree in Gestalt psychotherapy from the Metanoia Institute in London.

I am a fully accredited clinical member and abide by the ethical standards of the UK council of psychotherapists (UKCP). Further I am a full member of the United Kingdom association of Gestalt practitioners (UKAGP) as well as the European association of Gestalt Therapists (EAGT).

My professional background is a 25+ year career in the fashion industry, within which I still offer creative leadership on a consultancy basis.
