Iana Trichkova

INTEGRATIVE PSYCHOTHERAPIST

Approach and background

I offer both short and long-term counselling and psychotherapy. My approach is built on creating a safe, confidential, and compassionate space for you to explore the issues that trouble you, without fear of judgment or rejection. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process, one that facilitates greater self-understanding, self-acceptance, and more fulfilling relationships with others and with life itself. My aim is to support you in gaining a deeper understanding of yourself and your challenges, helping you move toward healing and positive change.

As an Integrative Psychotherapist, I tailor my approach to suit your unique needs and work with you in a way that feels right for you. I draw from a range of therapeutic models, including:

- Person-Centred; Humanistic – fostering self-growth and personal development.

- Existential Therapy – exploring meaning, purpose, choices and life transitions.

- Psychodynamic; Psychoanalytic – uncovering unconscious patterns rooted in early experiences.

Training, qualifications, and experience

I have experience supporting individuals facing a variety of challenges, including anxiety & depression, substance misuse, addiction, emotional, physical & sexual abuse, interpersonal difficulties & relationship issues, loss, grief & bereavement, eating disorders, etc.

I have worked with diverse clients in primary care, NHS and forensic settings, giving me valuable insight into a wide range of psychological concerns and life experiences.

Alongside my private practice, I also teach on the counselling & psychotherapy courses at Regent’s University London. My academic involvement keeps me engaged with the latest research and therapeutic developments, ensuring that my practice remains informed and effective.
