Margaret Prince

INTEGRATIVE COUNSELLOR

Approach and background

As an Integrative Counsellor I offer a safe, empathic space to explore whatever has led you to this place where you feel that you need support.  I will support you on this journey to explore your distress and enable your individual potential for growth and fulfilment to be realised. I have a holistic approach to my work, and I specialise on meeting the work with you creatively to help you to unwrap your past trauma. This process promotes empowering strength and choice in the ‘here and now’, all within a non-judgemental, and confidential environment.

Training, qualifications, and experience

I am registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) whose code of ethics I abide by. Since qualifying as an Integrative Counsellor in 2006, I also trained to become a supervisor in 2018.  I have worked in a range of settings including working in education, private practice, acting profession, voluntary sector, charitable organisations. I have experience of both time-limited and open-ended counselling.

I have experience working with a wide range of issues including anger, anxiety, bereavement, childhood issues, depression, suicide, health, identity, isolation, loneliness, family, personal development, relationships, sadness, self-esteem, social anxiety, stress, trauma, and work-related issues, however this is not an exhaustive list.

Prior to training as a Counsellor, I worked in banking, advertising, and youth work. I have worked in many caring roles supporting families, young people and individuals experiencing long-term mental health difficulties within the community and within residential settings.
