Rebecca Clark

(Associate of Harriet Mellotte Therapies)
Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and EMDR Therapist

Approach and background

As a fully accredited and experienced Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist (CBT),
Rebecca specialises in helping individuals navigate the challenges of anxiety,
depression, low self-esteem, trauma, and stress. Her therapeutic approach is
characterised by warmth and compassion, and she aims to create a safe and supportive
space where her clients can explore, learn, and embark on a journey towards a more
fulfilling life.
Rebecca’s approach offers her clients an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of
themselves, including how a problem may have developed, how it shows up day-to-
day, and how it interacts with relationships, work, or other important parts of someone’s
life. She believes that developing this shared understanding creates a path for her and
her clients to work together to make positive changes, learn how they can respond to
difficult feelings, and develop more helpful coping mechanisms.
In addition to CBT, Rebecca is trained in a range of other therapies, including:
Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye
Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), and Narrative Exposure
Therapy (NET). She has an integrative style, drawing upon these different approaches
to tailor sessions to meet her clients’ specific needs.
Rebecca has over 7 years of clinical practice experience within the NHS and third
sector across London and the West Midlands. She has worked with a diverse range of
individuals dealing with a variety of difficulties, including excessive worry, PTSD, health
anxiety, OCD, panic, body dysmorphia, social anxiety, phobias, and depression.
Alongside her private practice, Rebecca also works part-time as a therapist in Central
and North West London NHS Trust where she specialises in helping people to process
and heal from traumatic experiences which have led to difficulties like PTSD or other
problems.
